Shiphandling with
Tugs, Second Edition is a
comprehensive text for the mariner who wants to learn how to safely
operate tugs in assisting ships to and from their berths in ports and
anchorages. It includes a new chapter on ship escort with updated and
expanded chapters on today’s tugs, including descriptions and
illustrations on the latest tractor tug design and capabilities.
Captain Jeff
Slesinger has two seagoing passions. One is navigating and piloting;
the other is teaching the skills of a professional mariner. He has
created onboard and simulator programs for tug handling, bridge resource
management, and other professional skills. He presides over his
company, Delphi Maritime, while continuing to operate tugs in the
Pacific Northwest.
